Bandas portuguesas no SXSW 2012
A edição de 2012 do festival SXSW vai contar com a participação dos portugueses You Can't Win, Charlie Brown, :papercutz, Dead Combo e Buraka Som Sistema.
Seleccionados pela organização para marcar presença no maior festival de música americano, as bandas nacionais vão actuar entre os dias 13 e 18 de Março em Austin, Texas.
Para financiar a viagem, You Can't Win, Charlie Brown (14 Março) deu um concerto a 29 de Fevereiro no cinema S. Jorge, parte de uma campanha lançada no seu site oficial para angariar fundos.
Os Dead Combo levam aos americanos o álbum 'Lisboa Mulata', em português.
Os já internacionais Buraka Som Sistema também marcam presença (15 Março) e têm direito a uma simpática biografia na página oficial do evento.
Os portugueses não são desconhecidos do público deste festival, que já contou anteriormente com a presença de David Fonseca, Rita Redshoes e The Legendary Tigerman.

The 2012 edition of SXSW will have the Portuguese You Can't Win, Charlie Brown, :papercutz, Dead Combo and Buraka Som Sistema.
Selected by the organisation to go to the festival in Austin, Texas, the bands will perform between March 13th and 18th.
To pay for the trip, You Can't Win, Charlie Brown (March 14th) put together a gig on February 29th at S. Jorge theatre, in Lisbon, as part of a campaign released in their official website to raise money.
The :papercutz (March 16th) will be presenting their to-be-released in Spring album, 'The Blur Between Us'. It's their second time at the fest.
The Dead Combo take all the way to Texas their recent album 'Lisboa Mulata'.
The well known of the international public Buraka Som Sistema will also be at the festival (March 15th) and they even got a nice biography at the event's website.
The Portuguese artists are not strangers to the crowd, since the festival has already had in its past editions David Fonseca, Rita Redshoes and The Legendary Tigerman.

SXSW 2012 coming up
It is almost that time of the year, when half of the music world head to Texas for the annual South by Southwest music fest or, as you may know it, SXSW.
This year, the music fest will take place between 13th and 18th of March and present over 1800 new artists in something like 90 venues.
You can follow it all on the official YouTube channel and you will certainly need to check the enormous schedule to keep up with everything.
For instance, I'm sure you won't want to miss Bruce Springsteen's keynote which will be broadcasted live everywhere through NPR. And this year, Napster's Sean Parker will be speaking at a conference about file-sharing and the digital age for music.

Chegou aquela altura do ano em que meio-mundo da música ruma ao Texas para o South by Southwest. Ou como se costuma dizer, o SXSW.
Este ano, o festival de música terá lugar entre os dias 13 e 18 de Março e irá apresentar mais de 1800 novos artistas em qualquer coisa como 90 espaços.
Podem seguir tudo pelo canal oficial do YouTube e certamente que precisarão de consultar o horário para se manterem a par de tudo o que vai acontecer.
Por exemplo,de certeza que não vão querer perder o keynote de Bruce Springsteen transmitido em toda a parte através da NPR. Nem a participação de Sean Parker, co-fundador do Napster, numa conferência sobre a partilha digital de música.
