"Era uma vez uma rapariga e um rapaz. Apaixonaram-se". Assim se definem os Birds Are Indie, dupla de Coimbra composta por Joana Corker e Ricardo Jerónimo. Cantam num estilo simples e simpático, com o qual também se apresentaram nos Novos Talentos Fnac 2012.
Aqui ficam as próximas datas de concertos e showcases. É bom vê-los com um mês de Setembro tão preenchido e é bom ver bandas como os Birds Are Indie a crescer - cá dentro e lá fora.
8 de Setembro - Rock'Art Bairrada 2012
O palco chama-se Murmúrio e está bem para o estilo dos Birds Are Indie. Tocam no mesmo dia Gobi Bear e Homem ao Mar. O Rock'Art Bairrada acontece na Anadia.
13 de Setembro - Festival Terrazeando
Depois de ter passado por Espanha no início do Verão, a banda viaja até Santiago de Compostela para actuar no festival Terrazeando. Várias bandas são convidadas a actuar em terraços, como o do restaurante Broa onde os Birds Are Indie se apresentarão. A entrada é livre.
14 de Setembro - La Casa de Arriba Pop
Também em Espanha, Vigo, os Birds Are Indie ocupam a sala La Casa de Arriba Pop.
15 de Setembro - Optimus D'Bandada
Os Birds Are Indie estão entre as 40 bandas que vão tocar no Optimus D'Bandada, no Porto, numa só noite. A banda toca na loja Miss'Opo, onde actuam também Filho da Mãe e Peixe. A entrada também é livre.
21 e 22 de Setembro - Viseu
Viseu recebe o duo de Coimbra para dois especiais.
Já em Outubro, vale a pena também destacar um shoshowcases wcase com apresentação diferente. Será no dia 20 e tem lugar na conferência TEDxCoimbra.

"Once upon a time there was a girl and a boy. They fell in love." And then there was a band called Birds Are Indie. Joana Corker and Ricardo Jerónimo are a duo (and a couple) based in Coimbra, singing smooth songs.
I got to see them performing at Novos Talentos Fnac fest and I enjoyed their simple and sweet style. It's nice to see a calendar full of shows for them and September is an example of that. Check the following dates too choose were you want to see Birds Are Indie live.
8th September - Rock'Art Bairrada 2012
Birds Are Indie will be playing at the Murmúrio stage, along with Gobi Bear and Homem ao Mar. The fest takes place in Anadia.
13th September - Festival Terrazeando (Broa restaurant)
The band returns to Spain this month. Terrazeando is a festival in Santiago de Compostela, where several bands are invited to play in balconies. Free entry.
14th September - La Casa de Arriba Pop
Also in Spain, Birds Are Indie will be playing in Vigo.
15th September - Optimus D'Bandada
In only one night, 40 bands will be playing in several venues in Porto. Birds Are Indie present their music at Miss'Opo store, algon with Filho da Mãe and Peixe (Portuguese guitar players). Free entry.
21st and 22nd September - Viseu
The Portuguese city welcomes the band for a couple of showcases.
In October, Birds Are Indie are set to play a special showcase, at a TEDx conference. On the 20th, the band will have a small presentation at the TEDxCoimbra.
